Everything can be used, but of course one doesn’t know it at the time. How does one know what a certain object will tell another?
– Joseph Cornell

This sums up my approach to Assemblage or Found Object Construction. I have over the years gathered, sourced, and obtained various collections of items that are important to me for their color, shape, texture, age, and patina. Using the surrealist method of placing unrelated items in juxtaposition to one another, a story seems to unfold, a strange mysterious one or something silly. I never know just which way it’s going to go.
